Style Icon: Lauren Bacall

Hello dear readers,

I’d like to pay my homage to Lauren Bacall who passed away yesterday at 89. Lauren Bacall is a very well known film and stage American actress and model. She was well known for her husky voice and sultry looks. She was the leading lady next to Humphrey Bogart, her late husband.
She was a big fan of scarves wore them a lot combined with pants and sweaters. She never showed too much cleavage and opted for tailored suits and crisp white shirts with vivid scarves. Again, she dressed like a woman who could seduce a man during a game of pool or skip over a puddle without breaking an ankle.
Her hair was iconic by itself.Who doesn’t remember her distinctive locks? She had a shoulder-grazing bob. She was also known for wearing minimal makeup!
She is known for saying “Generally women are better than men. They have more character. I prefer men for some things, obviously, but women have a greater sense of honor and are more willing to take a chance with their lives.”

I created a Lauren Bacall inspired look for you all:

  1. Love Lauren Bacall and what a loss, so elegant and a beauty. She did have style and glamour of old Hollywood. Great board you put together. The pediatrician told my mom my voice would sound like hers when I was little. Still waiting for that to happen, prediction not even close, LOL.
